Literature Collaboration
Literature Collaboration was a fun exercise in which the Landscape Architecture students had a chance to work with Literature Majors. This Experiment allowed us to image and create the worlds imagined by the Literature students.
Each short story was completely unique from the next. Some told tales of forgotten cities, others of emotional diseases which would reshape cities.
I decided to not just stop there. I wanted to also create book covers and promotional posters for each student. These would later be displayed in the NDSU 2016 writing showcase. Blight, my personal favorite, would then go on to win an award.
Graphics were produced through a smooth blending of hand drawn scenes combined with Photoshop. The images were then arranged in Illustrator and InDesign.
Book covers for each of the short story authors helped set me apart from other students. Overall it was a good exercise to help us practice new teqniques and experiment with space making.
