This Semester long project was broken down into 4 parts, each of which required a board. These 4 boards all fit together to tell a story of Habitat Fragmentation in Fargo North Dakota.
Research: Understanding the site began with a deep dive into GIS software. Formatting a weighted sum of 8 different variables (Streets, Sidewalks, Vegetation, Building Footprints, Etc). All Combined, could estimate strong habitats. Strong Habitats are highlighted in red.
The site (Zone C) was selected based on a GIS analysis of the ND Red River. Due to urban development, the site had created a detrimental landscape for Habitat Fracture.
An impressive 40”x*80” board was the result of a semester long effort.
